STEP 1/13
The easy way to peel ginger is to soak the ginger in water for a while
Rinse it in running water once or twice and pat it under water
If you remove the ginger into pieces and wash it, the soil in between the ginger
I can wash it more cleanly
These days, the skin of Haesaenggang is peeled off by just putting it in water and rubbing it
STEP 2/13
Scrape the skin off with a knife and clean it up
STEP 3/13
You can cut it with a knife, but I cut it on the side using a chopping knife
STEP 4/13
I'm going to use a cutter, but if you put a big one in the cutter, it won't grind well
I cut it into pieces and cut it finely with a cutter
You need to put water in a blender to grind it, so it's good to use a cutter
STEP 5/13
Even if you don't grind it finely, you can grind it to this thickness
STEP 6/13
Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and salt to the ground ginger and mix well
There's no picture of me putting salt in it
Leave some sugar and cover the bottle
Leave it until the sugar melts and after a few hours
If you put it in a container, it's good to mix sugar evenly
STEP 7/13
It's about 30 minutes after mixing it well
STEP 8/13
After a few hours, the sugar melted and there was a lot of water
STEP 9/13
Fill a large pot with water up to 1/3 the height of the bottle
Turn the bottle upside down in cold water and boil it
Boil it for 5 minutes, take it out, and shake off the moisture
If you put it up, it dries without any moisture
STEP 10/13
Put ginger extract in a hot sterilized bottle
STEP 11/13
and cover it with the remaining sugar
STEP 12/13
And if you close the lid
It's ginger syrup for a year
STEP 13/13
A week later, I opened it and found it wasn't fully ripened yet
But it's okay to drink ginger tea
