Cooking Steps
STEP 1/12
Please prepare the ingredients first.
You can prepare chicken between 800g and 1200g.
You can prepare 1 large-sized potato and 2 small-sized potatoes.
STEP 2/12
If the rice cake is hard, soak it in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes, and if it is soft, wash it in water.
STEP 3/12
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan.
STEP 4/12
When the water boils, add the chopped chicken and blanch it for about 30 seconds to remove the smell.
STEP 5/12
Wash blanched chicken in cold water to remove impurities.
STEP 6/12
Please trim the vegetables.
Slice the onions thickly, peel the potatoes and cut them into bite-sized pieces.
Slice the green onions sideways.
STEP 7/12
Please make the sauce in a bowl.
Add 3 tablespoons of red pepper powder, 2 tablespoons of red pepper paste, 2 tablespoons of cooking wine, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, 1/2 tablespoon of salt, and a little pepper and mix well.
STEP 8/12
Pour 6 cups of water into a large skillet or court pan, add chicken and sauce and simmer for about 10 minutes.
STEP 9/12
Add the potatoes and bring to a boil for about 20 minutes.
STEP 10/12
When the chicken is cooked, add onions, green onions, and tteokbokki and boil for another 10 minutes.
If all the soup is gone during cooking, don't worry about anything and pour more water.
STEP 11/12
If you boil it down to the amount of soup you want, sprinkle sesame seeds and it's complete with a refreshing taste.
