Maesaengigulguk: Seasonal Maesaengi and oyster-based winter soup

  • seaweed fulvescens
    350g
  • Oyster
    400g
  • leek
    1/2ea
  • a thick salt
    1spoon
  • Broth
    600ml
  • Sesame oil
    1spoon
  • crushed garlic
    1spoon
  • Korean style soy sauce
    3spoon
Cooking Steps
STEP 1/13
Prepare a pack of seaweed.
STEP 2/13
Put seaweed fulvescens in a bowl, pour water, and remove any foreign substances from seaweed fulvescens.

Strain the washed seaweed into a strainer
Drain, please.

Add 1 spoonful of salt to 1 liter of water and make salt water

Add oysters to salt water and stir lightly to remove impurities from oysters.

Rinse in cold water and drain.

Put sesame oil in seaweed
Stir-fry lightly for 2-3 minutes.

Add 3 cups of broth or water.
Adjust the amount of soup according to your preference.

Heat the soup to a boil.

When the soup boils, add oysters and bring to a boil.

Adjust the seasoning with soy sauce.
You can add fish sauce or salt to your liking.

Finally, add minced garlic and green onions (optional) and turn off the heat. Seaweed oyster soup gets tough when you boil it for a long time
