STEP 1/10
Wash two and a half cups of rice clean and soak for about two hours. Then drain on a sieve.
STEP 2/10
Chop the carrots, zucchini, and onions finely.
STEP 3/10
Boil the water and add the chopped octopus and parboil it for 10 seconds. And rinse in cold water. At this time, do not throw away the boiled octopus water and use it to boil porridge.
STEP 4/10
Cut the blanched octopus into small pieces, please.
STEP 5/10
Put 4T of sesame oil in a pan and stir-fry soaked rice.
STEP 6/10
Add chopped onions and stir-fry them together.
STEP 7/10
Add blanched octopus water and boil it. Pour about three times the amount of rice.
When the water boils, reduce the heat to medium-low and boil it for about 20 minutes to spread the rice well while stirring well.
STEP 8/10
When the rice has spread and the water has boiled down to a certain extent, add the chopped carrots and zucchini and mix well.
STEP 9/10
Lastly, add the prepared octopus and mix it well.
You can season it with salt or soy sauce. If you add black soy sauce, the color becomes murky and it's not good to look at.
I like blue soy sauce more than salt. If you don't have soy sauce, season with salt.
STEP 10/10
It's a real octopus porridge with lots of octopus in it.
It says, "I'm octopus porridge"?
