I made a soft Japanese French toast and tried it
I made and tried Japanese French toast that is made by cutting the whole bread into thick slices and ripening it. The scent of milk is strong and soft.

  • a plain bread

  • Eggs
    2ea
  • Milk
    150ml
  • Sugar
    4T
  • Butter
    1~2T
  • Salt

Cooking Steps
STEP 1/10
Beat in 1 pinch of egg and salt in a bowl.
STEP 2/10
Add sugar and milk and mix well.
STEP 3/10
Cut the ends of 3 slices of bread as thin as possible.
STEP 4/10
Put the sliced bread into the container.
STEP 5/10
Pour the egg mixture and let it ripen in the refrigerator for more than 8 hours so that the bread can absorb all the egg mixture.

Melt the butter in a pan.
STEP 7/10
When the butter is completely melted, add the bread.
STEP 8/10
Cover and bake for 10 minutes.
STEP 9/10
Turn it upside down and bake it for 10 minutes.

When it's done, put it on a plate.
# All T measurements should be cut flat on a rice spoon. (No, one spoonful of it) # It's usually made by cutting the whole bread thickly! But it's hard to ask people to buy bread because of this... I used the cut one. But as you can see in the video, if you ripen it and bake it, it'll stick. Of course, if you have whole bread, you can cut it into thick pieces and use it. # If the bowl is much wider than the bread, it will absorb less. In that case, turn the bread upside down in the middle.

    Wow, it's so soft.
