STEP 1/7
The original recipe is 200g of sugar, but I reduced it to 160g. It's not sweet. It's perfect for me. Adjust the amount of coffee to your liking. I've melted enough coffee and 2 spoons of water, but the color seems to be dark, so I only put half of it in. Next time, I'm going to make it with a strong coffee scent. Personally, I had to drink 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day, so I used decaffeinated coffee for coffee jam. Now that I'm an adult, I'm going to feed my twins freely.
STEP 2/7
Put sugar, milk, and whipped cream in a pot and boil over high heat. When it boils, reduce the heat to medium and continue to boil while stirring. As you can see, the milk boils and bubbles form, so you can't keep boiling over high heat. I think a large pot would be convenient. If it's only on high heat, it'll take 30 minutes.
STEP 3/7
When it feels a little thick, add coffee and mix. At some point, the spoon that you stir the milk changes the feeling. But it's not as thick as flour. If you boil it over medium heat, think it's about an hour later. If you boil it down without adding coffee, it becomes milk jam. You put coffee in milk jam to make coffee jam.
STEP 4/7
Continue to boil down, stirring once at a time, until the concentration is adequate. It feels a bit thick now, right? After boiling it down for an hour and 15 minutes, the coffee jam that applies well is completed. Please note that the time can vary depending on the strength of the fire. You can't make the jam concentration that we eat on a daily basis. It's because it's hot, but it hardens when it cools down.
STEP 5/7
When you drop the finished jam in cold water, it's in a good condition if it doesn't spread and clump together.
STEP 6/7
It is comfortable to put hot jam in a dry bottle disinfected in boiling water. I just trusted the original recipe and thought it would take about 30 minutes, so I started at 1am and it ended at 2:30am. Should I call it a human victory? I can't give up because it's not reliable in the middle, but I can't give up because it's a waste of expensive whipped cream several times. But one blogger made it with milk without whipped cream.
STEP 7/7
Scented coffee jam on the bread just baked. Just imagining it makes me happy. If you have milk that is about to expire, make sure to make coffee jam. You won't regret it.
