STEP 1/6
Pour water into a pot of old hard rice cakes, add 3 spoons of minced garlic and bring to a boil.
(If you are using soft rice cake, boil water with minced garlic and add rice cake in Step 4.)

Please cut the fish cake into bite-size pieces.

Chop the onion into bite-size pieces.
STEP 4/6
When the water with rice cake and minced garlic starts to boil, add the seasoning.
3 spoonfuls of red pepper powder, 1 spoonful of fine red pepper powder, 2 spoonfuls of starch syrup, 1 spoonful of sugar, pepper
(Adjust the seasoning to suit your taste.)
If it's not old, add the rice cake before adding the seasoning.
STEP 5/6
Add fish cakes and onions, then boil and cook.
STEP 6/6
When all ingredients are cooked, remove from heat and stir with 2 slices of cheese to melt and seep the cheese.
If you are making tteokbokki rice cakes using a soft rice cake, rinse it under running water and use it.
If you are using soft rice cakes, boil only minced garlic in water and add rice cakes before adding seasoning.
