STEP 1/6
Measure the weight of the plum. There is no container that can fit 2kg at once, so we decided to divide it by 1kg.
STEP 2/6
Glass bottles should be sterilized with hot water and dried thoroughly, so be careful when disinfecting them. I boiled water in the pot and poured it right away, and one broke.. Pour gently along the wall of the bottle, not all at once.
STEP 3/6
Remove the stalk end, wash it clean, and put the dried plums in a bottle. There needs to be room for alcohol, so put it in less than half of the bottle.
STEP 4/6
Add 1 cup of sugar to fill the paper cup. 1 cup of sugar per kilogram of plum! Put it on top of the plum and leave it in the shade for a day. You can just leave it in the kitchen.
STEP 5/6
I pour the liquor I bought at the mart. There is no fixed amount per kilogram, but I think about 1.8~2L is enough. If you add licorice when pouring alcohol, the bitter taste disappears, but if you don't have it, you can skip it.
STEP 6/6
After filling the liquor, cover it well, seal it, and leave it in a well-ventilated shade and ripen it. Put it in the boiler room or in the closet! My plum wine went to the boiler room Haha
As you know, plums have the effect of controlling the insides, but after three months of aging, the plums produce toxicity. But after a year, the toxicity is neutralized again. So, it's better if you ripen it for at least a year and eat it for more than three years.
The plum seeds are poisonous, so eat them after ripening for at least a year.
If you open the lid, the alcohol content will fly away. Make sure to seal it.
You can just pretend that you don't have plum wine for a year and then open it next year.
Alcohol is alcohol even if it's a healthy medicine. Don't drink too much :)
