Add soy sauce, sugar, chopped scallions, minced garlic, sesame oil and pepper to the pre-mashed wood core and knead the meat until it becomes sticky.

Super simple and chewy Korean beef tteok-galbi is done. You can eat the grilled short rib patties as it is, but it's also delicious if you dip it in tomato ketchup or honey mustard. I've never made tteok-galbi before, so I thought it would be hard, but when I made it, it wasn't hard at all.
